I peeled my eyes open and groaned at the thudding inside my head. We’d partied until the real early hours and hadn’t stopped drinking until the place was dry. It was almost four in the morning when Willow finally stopped dancing, dragged me onto the sofa with her, and covered us with a duvet that Danny had brought downstairs. That was where we’d stayed, snuggled up against each other.

Willow’s back was turned to me, and her arse was pushed against me and I remembered almost falling off at one point, which was why I had one foot on the floor. I smiled to myself recalling what a great night it had been. It’d been nice to kick back, knowing that Johnny was okay as he was staying over with his best mate, Simon, who was someone I trusted would make sure that my brother was safe. It had been Johnny who’d suggested it, knowing I wouldn’t enjoy the party if I was worrying about Teresa being home when he got back from the wedding reception that he’d gone to.

As I looked up at the ceiling, I was aware of something weird going on around my crotch, something a little unpleasant. I bolted upright, which physically hurt, and saw Nigel licking my jeans over my dick.

“What the fuck!” I cried, trying to push the scruffy black and brown dog away without the risk of getting myself bitten. “What the hell are you doing?”

“Charlie?” Willow groaned beside me.

“Nigel, fuck off,” I cried and pushed his head.

“Nigel!” Willow sat up and gave him a shove. “Go away, you naughty boy. You wankers, get out here now.”

“What’s going on?” I asked and stared at Willow with wide eyes.

“Those brothers of mine are a bunch of pricks. Get out here now!”

One by one the Dixon brothers appeared from the kitchen, all laughing and clutching their sides.

“You vile people,” Willow said as she caught a cloth that Danny threw at her. She handed it to me. “Wipe your dick love, those idiots smeared dog food over it.”

“You bastards.” My head shot to them all as they stood in a line as tears of laughter rolled down Declan and Ruben’s faces.

I grabbed the cloth and started to wipe away the remaining dog food from my crotch as I looked up at Willow, who now looked less like a cute teddy bear and more like a ragged doll that was usually strapped to the front of a dustbin truck. She had joined in the laughter and was bent over at the waist with her hands clutched at her sides.

“Very funny,” I said, unable to help the twitch of a grin on my own lips. I pointed at all the brothers and then threw the cloth at them and watched it land in the middle of Declan’s chest. “I’ll get you all back one day.”

“Oh shit, that’s so funny,” Willow gasped. “Sorry Charlie, but it is.”

“And don’t think I won’t get you back too, because I will.” I leaned over and kissed her cheek, avoiding her mouth.
